Resurrection of an Old Manager - quest walkthrough

Talk to Yumi Collector and take the quest.

Yumi Collector is looking for a person willing to work in the Pavel Laboratory. Meet with her.

Yumi Collector asks you to gather information about the strange building in the south and whoever is living there. Visit an adviser who can tell you more about the building.

The building in the south belongs to Dr. Chaos, and the Golem, Wendy, lives there by herself. Return to Yumi Collector and tell her about it.

Your journal entry depends on how you answered Wendy: the conversation wasn't bad, Wendy suspects a great deal, or Wendy's attitude is matter-of-fact. Yumi's story about Dr. Chaos is the same in all three cases.

Yumi Collector thinks Wendy has the information necessary to solve the riddles. She asks you to talk to Wendy.

From here the quest follows one of three branches, depending on your conversation with Wendy. Each ends with a return to Yumi, who gives you the Electric Wave Detector: ask Wendy about her friend (steps 6-8), defeat Wendy's Guardian Quest Monsterlv. 46 (steps 9-11) or bring her the Starstone from the Parts Box (steps 12-15).

Wendy is ill-tempered and gives you the cold shoulder. Try talking to her again.

Wendy mentioned her "gigantic" friend. Could this be a clue? Ask her for more details!

Wendy's "gigantic" friend was a Golem Commander! Return to Yumi Collector to discuss this with her.

Wendy says she cannot give you any information, and if you try to force her to answer she will fight! Defeat Wendy's Guardian Quest Monsterlv. 46 and show her who's boss!

You've defeated Wendy's Guardian. Now, Wendy will talk.

Wendy says there is a device that transmits radio signals to control the Golems. What can it be? Return to Yumi Collector.

Wendy needs the Starstone to recover her memory. She says it's in a box nearby.

You have the Starstone in your hands. Return to Wendy and give it to her.

Wendy is receiving energy from the Starstone. Talk to her in a little while.

Wendy's recovered memories reveal that she was in charge of the transportation and management of goods. Her friend, Atlanta, was in charge of controlling various Golems. Return to Yumi Collector.

The information you've learned reveals there is a hidden transmitter sending out radio signals. Search for the transmitter with the signal detector that Yumi Collector gave you!

The signal detector responded to something nearby. Look for it.

The detector responded to the strange stack of stones engraved with the symbol of the Giants. Return to Yumi Collector and report what you've learned.

Yumi takes back the detector. Yumi's Letter is given only if she sends you to Schuttgart for the Starstone.

Give the stack of stones to Wendy to get the Starstone. Find Wendy.

One of two paths: Wendy sells the Starstone for 3000 Adena, or Yumi sends you to the Dwarf Guild in Schuttgart instead (next step).

Bring the stack of stones to the Dwarf Guild to get the Starstone. Find the Newyear Head Blacksmith of the Town of Schuttgart!

You have the Starstone, received from Newyear Head Blacksmith or bought from Wendy. Return to Yumi Collector.

Yumi Collector says that if you place the Starstone near the stack of stones that triggered the signal detector, something interesting will happen. Go to the stack of stones!
