Talk to Cronos Elder and take the quest.

Cronos Elder suggests you consult Mimyu Fairy concerning the raising of Hatchling to Strider.
Fairy Leaf×4Step 3The Sap of Fairy Trees
Mimyu Fairy examines your hatchling and tells you the story of the four fairy trees and their guardians. She tells you to feed the sap of these trees to your hatchling. Go to each of the four fairy trees of wind, star, twilight and abyss and let your hatchling drink their sap. You must guard your hatchling as it drinks. When it has finished drinking, attach a Fairy Leaf to the fairy tree.
Summon your hatchling and let it attack the four fairy trees: Fairy Tree of Wind Quest Monster, Fairy Tree of Star Quest Monster, Fairy Tree of Twilight Quest Monster and Fairy Tree of Abyss Quest Monster. Each tree uses up one Fairy Leaf.
Fairy Leaf×4Step 4Return to Fairy Mimyu
Your hatchling has drunk the sap of all four fairy trees-- the wind, star, twilight and abyss. The preparations for its growth have been completed. Return to Mimyu Fairy.
Before talking to Mimyu, take all items out of the hatchling's inventory (they disappear when it evolves) and unsummon it. You receive a Dragon Bugle of the same kind as your Dragonflute.
