Saga of the Cardinal - quest walkthrough

Talk to Hollint High Priest and take the quest.

Hollint High Priest says that the Saint of Light has appeared in the Town of Goddard and asks you to meet with her and verify that she's actually the legendary saint.

Agnes Saint of Light asks you to visit Duncan Chef in the Hot Springs area and bring her some food.

Duncan Chef needs Ice Crystal to keep the food fresh.

Get the Ice Crystal from the quest "The Finest Ingredients - Part 1" (Jeremy Chef in the Hot Springs). Duncan Chef takes it and gives you Offering.

When you deliver the Ice Crystal, Duncan Chef hands you a well-packed jar containing the food. Take it to Agnes Saint of Light.

Agnes Saint of Light gives you the Resonance Amulet and tells you to go to the Tablet of Vision.

According to the first Tablet of Vision, you'll meet someone who has the Resonance Amulet near the next tablet.

Kill 10 Guardian of Forbidden Knowledge Quest Monsterlv. 76 near Tablet of Vision: the Resonance Amulet - 2 is given on the 10th kill. Only kills made in your current class count.

You've got the second Resonance Amulet. Go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

At the second tablet, you saw who has the Resonance Amulet near the third tablet. To find him, commune with the third tablet.

Talking to Tablet of Vision summons Fallen Angel Haures Quest Monsterlv. 76 for you alone: if another player attacks it or casts a skill on it, it disappears. While someone else's fight is in progress, the tablet makes you wait.

You've got the third Resonance Amulet. Go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

At the third tablet, you learned that Bastian Priest in the Town of Goddard has a Resonance Amulet. Visit him and get the Resonance Amulet.

Bastian Priest tells you to gain the trust of Ketra's Messenger Wahkan and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.

The Divine Stone of Wisdom comes from the quest "Magical Power of Water - Part 1", which Wahkan Ketra's Messenger gives at level 74 or higher with an alliance with the Ketra Orcs of level 2 or more.

Bastian Priest tells you to gain the trust of Varka's Messenger Naran Ashanuk and get the Divine Stone of Wisdom.

The Divine Stone of Wisdom comes from the quest "Magical Power of Fire - Part 1", which Naran Ashanuk Varka's Messenger gives at level 74 or higher with an alliance with the Varka Silenos of level 2 or more.

Bring the Divine Stone of Wisdom to Bastian Priest to receive Resonance Amulet - 4.

You've got the Divine Stone of Wisdom and made a new Resonance Amulet. Now, go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

The location of the next Resonance Amulet is not revealed, but Bastian Priest of the Town of Goddard is briefly seen motioning goodbye. He may know something. Speak with him again.

Bastian Priest tells you to go to the fork in the road and travel north to find the Shrine of Loyalty and east to go to the Imperial Tomb.

Hunt Grave Scarablv. 73, Scavenger Scarablv. 73, Grave Antlv. 74, Scavenger Antlv. 74, Shrine Knightlv. 75, Shrine Guardlv. 75 to collect Halisha's Mark ×700.

Each kill of these monsters in the Shrine of Loyalty gives a Halisha's Mark (in a party - to a random member who is on this step). When you have 700, the next kill takes 20 marks and summons Archon of Halisha Quest Monsterlv. 76: it attacks you, stays for 10 minutes, and only you can get the amulet from it.

Hunt Archon of Halisha Quest Monsterlv. 76 to collect Resonance Amulet - 5.

An Archon of Halisha killed inside the Four Sepulchers also counts: every party member of this class who is on this step receives Resonance Amulet - 5.

You've got the fifth Resonance Amulet. Go to the Tablet of Vision and try communing with it.

You feel that the last Resonance Amulet is near the tablet. First, go to the tablet.

Talking to Tablet of Vision summons Dawn Witness Franz Witness of Dawn and Fallen Angel Tanakia Quest Monsterlv. 81, who attacks the defender. Hit Fallen Angel Tanakia Quest Monsterlv. 81 16 times within about a minute: it then retreats. Talk to Dawn Witness Franz Witness of Dawn to receive Resonance Amulet - 6.

You've defeated the fallen angel Tanakia and taken his Resonance Amulet. Now, try the last communion.

The long journey has ended. Report your accomplishments to Hollint High Priest in the Town of Oren.

At level 76 or higher Hollint High Priest gives the reward and changes your class right away; otherwise come back after reaching level 76.

Train some more before you return to Hollint High Priest in the Town of Oren.

(Only characters of level 76 or above may change their occupation to Cardinal. Don't abandon the quest until occupation change is complete.)
